Gratitude

As the passing clouds we go
Across the various stages of life
Amongst the unknown, our victory we sow
As unyielding as a swordsman’s knife
Rise we shall, even when we fall
As we were blessed by the best
With a confidence of no limit shall we all
Conquer the glory and fame owned by the rest
Dark was the crucial stage of our path
Full of brightness does it now seem
Filled was it with turns, burns, love and wrath
As incandescence to a brilliant flame did you beam
To help guide us safe ashore
Words cannot express the warmth felt at the core

Nice work. Nice words. Well done. Not a fan of social conformity, so personally, imo, gratitude is overrated. Let us not be guided by our hormones and survival instincts ,rather by rationality and objectivity. Skepticism for the win. I imagine the intended recipient of this gratitude is overjoyed. Thank you for this expression of happiness. Thanks madu for sending me the link.
Thank all the old people in my life for sharing their mistakes and education. Thank God for making me an atheist. Irony much? Fan of that.
