If I could go back in time, I’d definitely go back to feel them feelings twice again,
Only to remind my previous self that it’ll eventually go away leaving no less pain for me to feign.
If I could back in time, I’d definitely go back to tell my best-friend them butterflies are nothing but a trap,
Only to remind her previous self about them high-school “I love yous” being nothing real but a pile of bull-crap.
If I could go back in time, I’d definitely go back to the day I had to drop in an uninvited argument,
Only to remind my previous self that it’ll eventually lead to my corazón shattered with just one statement.
If I could go back in time, I’d definitely go back to the day my best-friend took an oath about never getting into a relationship,
Just to laugh out loud and warn her previous self about how she’ll later come across a guy that will successfully win her heart and for a little while get in between our close friendship.
If I could go back in time, I’d definitely go back to the day I wrote an essay regarding why my life has become so amazing all of a sudden,
Just to remind my previous immature self to not jump into conclusions because life has its own ways of surprising when it comes to teaching someone a memorable lesson!
If only I could really go back in time, I’d go back and reverse so many short-lived joyous events that have already happened in our lives,
Just so we didn’t have to live with them invisible wounds of broken promises, delusional imaginations and most importantly “I’m okay” sort of lies.
The Almighty has His own ways of showering His blessings on the people He loves by consecutively testing them first and foremost,
Keeping that in mind, we don’t really need to regret or lose hope on our future being the best substitute for all other better things we lost.
