“Some memories mean a lot to me, and I hold them close to my heart”
Memories are the part and parcel of every one’s life. You always remember the good days you have passed by sweetest memories, meanwhile some bad memories in your life push you to think who you are.
They can hold for minutes, hours, months or years but sometimes we never let them go. Have you ever heard a song multiple times and enjoyed it but also hear once again & you think “Woah, this is the best song I ever heard” like you already knew it existed but for some reason it will hit you that one time. And you’ll feel like wow I wanna hear it again. And again and again, one last time you wanna play it then you will fall in love for beats, rhythm and lyrics. You can’t get enough of it. It’s constantly in your head & all you want is that song to hear one last time. This is how one of our earliest remembrance sticks as unforgettable memories like rewinding back one favourite song.
Old days should be left alone because it no longer exists. Yet, it is good that we still own down the memory lane. Things we want to erase, or the things we want to forget, will leave traces in our minds.
Like,
When people you know become people you knew. And you remember the precious times you had with them, without them it won’t be collection of remembrance in your journey. So when you lost someone so close to you, you remember them and realise you won’t see them again or hear their voice, again.
When you think about the things you left unsaid.
When you spoke rudely to that person & it will be the last time you spoke to them. When you did something that wasn’t right and it will affect them in way you couldn’t imagine.
“The things you remember warm you up from the inside, but sometimes they also tear you apart”
-Haruki Murakami
I would say nothing lasts forever, except memories.
Memories should have been like flash cards. We don’t know which one we’re going to get next, but we can deal with them, throw them and keep what we like. They’re like Harry’s scar, it won’t faded away. Memories will make us, break us & shake us. However, sometimes, just sometimes, we wish we could forget forever what we don’t want to remember.
Can you imagine how gorgeous memories are? Nothing can touch or feel the past except for memories.
“There are moments when I wish I could roll back the clock and take all the sadness away, but I have the feeling that if I did, the joy would be gone as well”
-Nicholas Sparks
Life is short and you only live once. Make a collection of memories you can be proud about.
Live life the way you want to. Do the things you’ve always wanted to do. The things you love.
Talk to new people. Keep in touch with the old ones. I believe sometimes memories are painful; nevertheless, they make us grow. I believe when memories are gone, we would become a newborn baby. I believe memories bring us every expression that humans have. I believe I will be happy as long as I have my memories.
Memory is our past and future,to know who you are as a person, you need to have some idea of who you have been. And,for better or worse, your should remember your story is a pretty good remain as piece of evidence on tomorrow, so make some precious memories and fly high!
