Submission Guidelines
- Merak Magazine welcomes submissions of thought-provoking stories, poetry, essays, and creative works from writers worldwide.
- Submissions are only accepted through the website submission form.
- Only registered users will have access to submission form and commenting options.
- We appreciate original and previously unpublished pieces.
- Preferred genres include literary fiction, poetry, speculative fiction, poetry, personal essays, and creative non-fiction.
- Word limits: Short stories and essays (up to 3,000 words), poetry (1-3 poems), flash fiction (up to 1,000 words).
- Include a brief bio and contact information in your profile to add author bio box under your content
Editorial Process
- All submissions go through a careful review process by our editorial team.
- Our team evaluates submissions based on literary merit, originality, and relevance to our magazine’s themes.
- We strive to respond to submissions within 1 week. However, please note that response times may vary depending on the volume of submissions.
- If your work is selected for publication, our team will contact you to discuss any necessary edits and obtain your final approval before publishing.

- At Merak Magazine, we respect the intellectual property rights of our writers.
- Authors retain full ownership of their work.
- By submitting your work to Merak Magazine, you grant us the non-exclusive right to publish it on our website and any associated promotional platforms.

We prefer original and previously unpublished pieces. However, if your work has been published before, please ensure the previous publisher has no objection Merak publishing the same work.
What genres does Merak Magazine accept?

Are simultaneous submissions allowed?
Yes, simultaneous submissions are allowed. However, please inform us promptly if your work is accepted elsewhere so that we can withdraw it from consideration

We do not have strict theme restrictions. We encourage diverse and engaging content across a range of topics. Feel free to submit work that resonates with you and showcases your unique voice
Can I include images or illustrations with my submission?
Currently, we primarily focus on written works and do not publish accompanying images or illustrations. We appreciate the power of language in conveying meaning and encourage you to showcase your creativity through words.
Do you provide feedback on rejected submissions?
Due to the high volume of submissions we receive, we are unable to provide personalized feedback on individual submissions. However, we appreciate your interest in Merak Magazine and encourage you to keep submitting your work
Are there any specific formatting guidelines for poetry submissions?
We appreciate various poetic forms and styles. While there are no strict formatting guidelines, we recommend presenting your poetry in a way that enhances the reading experience. Consider line breaks, stanza breaks, and overall visual aesthetics to complement the meaning and rhythm of your poems.
