A sandy outstretch lay yonder
As far as the blinking eyes could see
Grey patches of thorny shrubs decored
Dunes covering the burning rocks
The heat wave lauding the beaming sun
To whom the lamenting sky lost its blue.

And then I close my eyes to see …

Streaks of golden on a pasture green
Soft swaying grass luring one near
Dancing trees laden with fruits galore
A painter toils to match the colors of nature
A cool breeze that reminds of a love
And leaves one wishing time froze forever.
