An airborne promise

There was an airborne promise,

A grounded whisper,

Two pinkies intertwined underwater.

There were air bubbles struggling,

A current sweeping us along like dust,

We settled again.

There was an earful pop,

A tremble echoing in the ocean,

Surfacing the salt never tasted this sweet.
