Just always be the better person. And make your intentions pure.

What and who you are is what will be remembered. Pain is inevitable in our journey and it will always exist, but if you focus on understanding what you are and what you are feeling at the moment, and why you’re feeling it, you will overcome it.

As a child, I always wondered why? Why my loved ones are living far away from my life. Why they can’t live under same roof in a house? if they could live inside the same house I wouldn’t feel lonely, I could only remember the ways of life and really didn’t know what the expectation was. This brings me to Life Expectation!

The expectation we have often do not correspond with reality, we are disappointed every time this happens.

Beginning in my teenage years headed to the 10th grade I can remember like it was only yesterday. I used to sit on the first row, I can easily read my Ma’am’s mood so I become class’s clown. If she’s unhappy cracking some jokes or fixing her mood & hearing noisy laughs to make others happy but I used to expect in return in the same way. So now I realized life doesn’t depend on stupid jokes. It’s more to understand and to expect less from others.

We get disappointed when we expect to be treated as we treat others. When you start to realize that everyone is living at different stage, thinking differently and making their choices, then you can only accept the fact that people don’t share the same mind and heart as you.

I’m not in this world to live up to your expectations and you’re not in this world to live up to mine.
― Bruce Lee

When you want to be happy you have to let go of that and start with yourself, be the person you can be proud of, be an example, show respect and understanding. Others may not change, but know that is not up to you and be proud of who you are. Let change ourselves rather than changing others, let’s start from now itself “NO MORE EXPECTATIONS”. If you start from yourself, then friends, family and finally you’ll be able to change the whole world.

Dear future parents, do you want to give your child a gift? Then show them how to face their challenges, let them become the person they want to be, let them follow their dreams and not yours. Your child could be a talented Cricket player, so don’t crush dreams of the next Kumar Sangakkara. Your child could be a genius in Technology, so don’t crush dreams of the next Bill Gates. So expect less and do more to shine as a gem in your life.

Follow your dreams. Good luck!
