Contained Within

How different, all the vessels that transport our minds around,

Variety of size and shapes, uniqueness does abound.

Some adorned quite regally, while others are quite plain

And yet they function all the same, they carry ‘round our brain.

This simple commonality we so often do eschew,

While thinking superficial thoughts; are their eyes brown or blue?

Tall or short or thin or round, what color is their skin?

Complexions fair or ruddy, and which country they live in.

Yet, rarely do we take the time, to look beneath the lid.

We walk the halls of life until we reach the final door,

Our shed containers, useless now, just piles upon time’s floor.
